Resident Tire Destroyer
Updating using microsoft MBSA 2.1
Got vista on numerous machines that I'm using MBSA 2.1 to scan for vulnerabilities.
Due to group policy settings, we HAVE to use this method. Windows update is disabled
Anyways, this is the tool that all the lab managers have to use from now on and I'm working with it here on several vista boxes and it scans, comes back with some patches that are missing but when I go to download teh update, it gives me a CAB file.
WTF am I supposed to do with this? I don't see anythign in the cab file that indicates an exe file to run the update. Why can't it just go download the EXE file.
Rigth now, it's either go manually download each EXE file that MBSA says I need or there's something I'm just not getting here with these cab files.
Thanks for any help
