How to destroy radar jammer on ship?(Crysis)

Sorry, noob qs.... how to destroy the radar jammer/scanner on the ship ? I've been using my Rocket Launcher on it for the last 30 mins, but no go .
What am I doing wrong ? What should I do ?

Forget the radar. How do I kill the damn Trigens on the plane in the opening scene? I always fall out of the plane before I can get them all.
