DFS

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distrib...tem_(Microsoft)

Or you could just write a script that copies the file from one hidden network share to another and make it a scheduled task. Create a domain user (no expire password) that has access to the source and destination, then just batch an xcopy command and make that the user who runs the task is the one you created for said purpose. It's what I do for our Password Safe. I don't trust DFS that much. Too many things can go wrong.

Also part of the PowerToys. SyncToy?

Can be used easily with MS Scheduler to automate things. I use it to sync my MP3s on my gaming PC with those on my HTPC.

I didn't know either. :: The interface pre V2 was really messed up under Vista.

It all depends on what database you are talking about
SQL Server uses database mirroring or replication.

For ORACLE they have different schemes.
