Default EVGA X58 and Tri-SLi

I've got an Evga X58 up and running. Here's a few quick benches. Cards are @ 711|2300. These benches were all done with the 180.48 driver. BTW two of the cards are Core 216 and one is 192SP. I have two Core 216 cards because I ordered the vanilla EVGA GTX 260s off of Newegg and received Core 216 cards instead. My 192SP card is old.

06 @ 1920x, HT On, 21874

06 @ 1920x, HT Off, 24315

06 score default 4.0GHz CPU, 26030

I gained around 600 points vs 3.91GHz

Some old rig numbers below.

My old rig was a Q6600 G-0 @ 3.51GHz on an i975x mobo (BX2) with a single overclocked GTX 260 192SP @ 730|2600. Below is Crysis on it. I never ran Assault Harbor on it. I did do the regular bench though.

Crysis (Old Rig)

Regular GPU Bench
Min FPS 14.51 Avg FPS 21.885FPS Max FPS 25.77
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1...vh1920xtf6.jpg

Before I built up my SLi rig I did try a single GTX 260 Core 216 in my old rig @ 730|2500. It's FC2 results are below.

FC2(Old Rig)
DX10 1920x Ultra Settings Ranch Small 53.01FPS

Vantage on my old rig, P12006
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=220084

Image-
http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/1808/van2730fm2.jpg

So for example, my Min FPS on my new rig is 17FPS faster than my Avg FPS on my old rig with the Crysis Regular GPU bench @ 1920x all VH.

So far I like this mobo. It's been painless to get up and running well.

EDIT: For some HT off/on results, Crysis results and old system numbers.

I'll be watching I'm sure it will rock.

BTW, thanks for the OC guide over at the official EVGA forums, jAkUp. It helped me get my bearings with the board and accelerated my jump to a decent OC. I feel like the CPU has more in it and I'm going to take my time running it up. Besides I'm on air and I don't want to smoke my brand new sh#t

The thread I am talking about for those who are new to X58 and may be getting an EVGA X58 board.

I'd highly advise folks looking for their max CPU clock to use very tame memory settings until you find it. Try 9-9-9-24 2T with an 80 tRFC on a 2:8 divider. My tRFC being at 59 was holding me back big time.

Tri-SLi works fine in AoC. I use to get 32FPS below with 16xCSAA|16xAF @ 1920x. It's 83.7FPS in the screen if you don't want to bother loading it-

I don't get any "microstutter" either. I'm wondering if the massive bandwidth available on X58 helps. Of course 6Gb system ram with a highly overclocked quad doesn't hurt either.

Yup, I finally got the last piece of the puzzle today

And thanks, honostly even the 920 clocks really good, 4.2GHz+ is pretty easy usually.

Just got mine set up this evening. Even at stock speeds, this thing blows the doors off my old C2D E6750. I'm thinking of trying SLI by adding another GTX 280, especially since the price has come down to about $375 for the vanilla card.
