I think he meant with an ATI and NVIDIA GPU in the system at the same time. According to his sig, he has a 4870.

Same CPU and 4GB Ram as you Crainger but an 8800GT so it's pretty the same then and Vista 64 of course

Now im just waiting for the new nVidia cards, the single one GTX 285 if that's the name.
Then use my 8800GT 512Mb for PhysX will be fine but im wondering if my PSU will be enough, 520W Corsair and it will probably not be enough I guess hmm.

I found little difference in running an 8800GT, GTX260 or 8400GS for physx... I don't think you're going to notice any difference.

Sweat.

I have an ATI card with a CF motherboard. Do i have to do any special thing (from a software and hardware perspctive) to enable physics if i was to use say a 9600GT in my second PCI-E slot.

Cheers

It only works with two nvidia cards.

Thumbs up Re: Cryostasis Tech Demo Released

1920x1200 High / 8800GTX / Penryn 3.6 GHz / Vista x64 / 181.00 :

PhysX Hardware: 22fps avg, 13fps min - CPU Usage: 15% avg
PhysX Software: 12fps avg, 5fps min - CPU Usage: 25% avg

I thought that PhysX was properly multithreaded. Maybe it has been disabled for this test. Anyway, it's just a tech demo.

I'm amazed with the particle system used for the water.

I hope to see bigger differences in systems with a gfx card for the graphics & another gfx card for the physx in the final version of the game.
