On the issue of microstutter. I see alot of comparisons to these "straight" line frame times as if that ever happens. Even single GPUS never get "constant" frame times. So thats a little misleading. Microstuttering will never go away completely with AFR. There are different implementations of AFR that work better than others in certain titles with this condition. And NVidia has profiles which control them.
Typically your frame time variations should be small. Occasional burst frametimes do still happen. They are just more noticable when you already have lower framerates. Due to the already slower frametimes. If your frame times are spiking every other frame something is very wrong. But thats very non typical.

Yes. In A dumbed down simplistic statement. Then yes. But I already said that. Its still way blown out of proportion. These videos on the webs are comical because they are designed with one purpose. To draw up worse case scenerios to by keeping framerate as low as possible.

I can do a trade-up and a GTX295 would cost me $90 and I would have a BFG GTX 280 OCX left over .After doing some overclocking the GTX 295 is almost as fast as a GTX 280 SLI .Can't make my mind up.It would take up less room and use less power. But unless you can get a good deal like a trade-up then it is sure not worth it going from two GTX 280 's in SLI for one GTX 295.IMO
