IIRC I didn't get a choice to not install it, I am pretty sure it did it automagically cause my physx drivers were the ones released prior to the one cryostasis needed.
The problem is still there and I now know what caused it (bios with HD issue). Unfortunately, to fix it I have to restore my system back to the same day I did before, but it is now impossible cause windows restore only goes back as far as 2 days after I did the restore. So I don't think there is a way to fix it other than reinstalling Vista, and that is just too much of a PIA.
