I've had the same issues as yours...
The key thing was to use those options:
Option "ExactModeTimingsDVI" "True"
Option "UseEDIDFreqs" "False"

In the monitor section
If you want to be able to specify different refresh rate between progressive and interlaced ; you also need:
Option "DynamicTwinView" "False"
in the Screen or Device section

You have incorrect vertical refresh rate, it excludes the new modelines:
Add in the screen section something like:
HorizSync 20.0 - 150.0
VertRefresh 24.0 - 90.0

You specify in the VertRefresh that the minimum refresh rate is 49Hz ; yet you are using 25Hz refresh rates.

Then you didn't add the option to ignore the EDID value as I told you.
You must add Option "UseEDIDFreqs" "False"
in the screen section.

Here is my xorg.conf ; this is for a dual screen setup..

Code:

Default Re: nVidia 9500 GT correct modline

Hi and thnx for your replay, didnt take a look in your xorg.conf jet will do later. What i did is i run nvidia x server settings and created xorg.conf i have deleted the stuff about 1920x1080@60Hz but i still dont see 50Hz, what ever i did isnt helping(will try your xorg.conf after this post).
I will attach my xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log from last config file.
And i setup Horiz. And Vertic. freq from EDID information but looking in log file they are again wrong (.
Code:
from conf i edited this line
Option "metamodes" "1920x1080_60 +0+0; nvidia-auto-select +0+0; 1920x1080_50 +0+0"
and made from it this:
Option "metamodes" "1920x1080_50 +0+0"
But still my Samsung LE-40M86BD still show 1920x1080@60Hz.
Can it be driver issue??? Using latest beta driver 180.18beta. I sow they add support for nVidia 9500 GT card (even the card worked with older driver but for freq i am not shure).
Thnx

Hi, and thnx again i just compare your xorg.conf with my added that was i have missing and i got it .
I attach is my new xorg.conf and Xorg.log.0.
I also sow you are using custum-edid files, how did you get them, extracted with Phoenix_1_3 or?
What is advantage of using it that way.
And i was using VertRefresh 40.0 because i read it from EDID... but gues its wrong.
Cant this heart LCDTV?
HorizSync 20.0 - 150.0
VertRefresh 24.0 - 90.0
I didnt changed HorizSync only VerRefresh from 40 to 24 rest i leave as it was..
