AHCI and $drvmig$?
I have two PCs right now that are using AHCI instead of standard IDE/SATA mode.
I noticed that for some reason all HDDs on those PCs have this one file in root: $drvmig$
Does anyone know what that file is for?
it is a hidden system file, anyone know some details about it?
Windows 8 the next big failure, right after Windows ME

Re: AHCI and $drvmig$?
All my drives are configured as AHCI as well, but I do not have the "$drvmig$" file on any of mine. However, I read online (as I'm sure you did too), alot of people seem to have this file or folder on AHCI drives.
If it were me, I'd backup my drive then attempt to delete the file and see what happens.
