Question Performance Issue on Compiz with SLI enabled

Hello,

I recently acquired two GEFORCE 9600GT to run in SLI mode on my Asus P5N-E SLI with Ubuntu 8.10. Everything was going fine until I enabled compiz.

I am currently running the latest stable Nvidia Driver (180.22) but the problem was also happening on previous versions listed in the Ubuntu repository.

Basically after enabling compiz the system keeps locking up
and my Xorg.log keeps recording the following error

[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
[mi] mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping.

If SLI is disabled there are no performance issues with Compiz

Hope someone can help...
