No it's still there, but the last time I checked it was NOT on the front page with the others..
You had to dig a bit for it.

um... try this on for size

nv30 path is the fastest because it is also using lower precision than the arb2 standard path...

taking bigberthaEA's example... you have a standard space for standard sized cars... you make a new car so 2 of them can fit in the same space... but the loss is in quality of the car since there is less than can be done (it is smaller) ...

by just stating the nv30 path is the fastest you are selectively and perhaps purposely leaving out other details... such as the precision... which DIRECTLY impacts the speed in this path...

maybe some peoples idea of fastest is not based on raw speed only.. but also possibly equal comparisons

ergo... they are not biased or blinded by one thing or another..

right, people should stop comparing 32 bit to 24 bit

eh... no... you should stop comparing 24 bit to 16 bit performance...

nvidia's 32bit performance is too slow to really compare it to anything @ playable framerates especially considering the output using 24bit fp precision...

well, you compare 32 bit to 24 bit again.....
i guess comparing 32 bit to 24 bit must be legitmate.
comparing 24 bit to 16 bit must be blinded or biased or something...

I believe you should compare best IQ possible for each card.
IE: 16x FSAA and 8xAF with NV35 and 6x FSAA and 16xAF with R350 32 FP and 24 FP. Run at 1024x768.

I would take the card that is faster. Either way IQ will look astounding.

I play at those settings on my R300 ALWAYS and yet I have seen a games minimum framerate EVER drop below 35fps at ANY time.
