I'm running SuSE 8.2(2.4.20-4GB) with a GeForce4 MX 440. I have everything installed correctly, and I get the nvidia logo when X starts up. When I run a 3D program however (ie. Tux Racer, Quake3... et al.), I hear the sound, but my screen goes blank/doesn't receive input from the graphics card. I can still exit the program using the standard escape keys.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? |

change the default depth to 24 bit
My card won't work in 16 either, but in 24, 3D acceleration rocks, |
