Never heard of it, but if I want to think I will just play System Shock 2, Thief 1/2 or Neverwinter Nights 2.

NarcissistZero, Prototype has shown nothing other then him killing people... seriously... every video and every shot has been nothing but combat...

Just to add Infamous is being developed by a Developer with a solid backing who has shown that they can produce quality titles... Prototype is being developed by the developer of Scarface and the Bevis and Butthead games...

Yes, and the combat looks a billion times better than the combat in the Infamous videos.

I'm all for good storytelling in games... I often praise games with great stories and feel a good story, good atmosphere and good art design can elevate a good game to an amazing game. One of the reasons Grand Theft Auto IV is better than Saint's Row 2, for me, is how amazing it's story and world are (heh).

That said, gameplay is king, and at this point Prototype rules the roost for now. There is simply no contest, comparing the videos, on which game looks more fun and more exciting. I'm far from alone on this, since Prototype is on many lists as a great thing to come in '09, whereas Infamous is not.

Still, who knows right now? Neither is out. I'll probably end up owning both, so I can have a more informed opinion then.

Man, after GTA4 and SR2 my optimism about this open city game is very very low.

Because it is a game that hasn't been in the spot light really. There are far less articles or news on inFamous then there are on Prototype. Heck, I don't even think inFamous has a release time yet. We have seen alot less of inFamous then we have of Prototype.

And also InFamous is a PS3 only title while Prototype is multiplatform... which helps it on the "charts". Then again, that doesn't say much... we have seen many titles be put on must watch lists just to flop.

well ... thinking about it.... activision does have a history of botching the execution of great concepts..... I am yet to like any of their SpiderMan attempts...... but any how.... I can feel it in my 24 year old gamer bones that activision might just come good with prototype.... They are due a good one and some things are just hard to botch..... History backs infamous but i think ill go ahead and back prototype on being the showstopper this summer.....

Scarface was a good game, just poorly managed once Vista came out. Yes, it was a GTA clone... but a very decent job of it.
