Would you recommend x32 or x64? Is x64 as buggy as Vista64?

I've been using Vista64 for months now and don't find it buggy. Pretty much everything I use works fine on it except for an older version of nero I have.

Well that's kind of a loaded question. I've been using Vista 64 on both of my quad core pcs and it has run just fine. I think I've actually had less issues using 64 bit.

I'm installing x64 right now onto a Q6600, so I'll let you know if it crashes or not.

two people, Joe and SixStorm said that 32bit runs better for them, and quite a few people (3 in this thread, few folks in other threads reported that 64bit runs better for them.

I personally would recommend 64bit, as for buggy, i don't have any bugs in vista64bit that would be responsible for being it a 64bit system.

only bug that i can think off that you might ran into is if you try to install or run some very very very old software

I would have stuck with x64 if my laptop had a better CPU and 4GB RAM, but all I have is a C2D 1.4GHz and 2GB RAM. So of course x86 is gonna be a little better for my laptop.

I've had my laptop lid closed (sleep mode I guess) since 5PM (4 hours ago) so I wanna see how it reacts when I wake it up here in a few minutes.

x64 ISO downloaded, burned, and getting a Lightscribe label as I type this. Probably won't install until next week as I'll be out of town but am looking forward to trying it.
