Default Reformatting Woes

Alright, need some help here.
Going to reformat in the next few days.
Undecided on what to throw on this time.

Im primarily a gamer, so I want something thats going to be rock solid in stability.

I have all flavors of Vista, 64 and 32. Same with XP.

And I know a lot will say XP...but I like Dx10...but i guess I could live without it.

My 10cence worth is fling on vista 64, raid 0 and separate partition for games, and a partition for swapfile and another for docs and stuff.

raid 0+1 would be better if you have the disks

Installing an x86 OS is asking to reformat in the next year.

If you're okay with that, go ahead, otherwise Vista/W7 x64.

Well, I reformat about once a year at least it seems, and I doubt that 32-bit will decline as fast as you imply. I mean - there are still a lot of older computers our there.

Im going to go back to XP this time around and give it a test to see if I see any moer stability over Vista 64 Ultimate.

And Ill probably just keep it until the final version of Windows 7 x64 is released. Im not using a beta build for my 24/7 OS

Definitely don't go with Windows 7 yet. It may be nice but it is definitely very much a beta, you will run into problems.
