Default plasma crash on first start (180.16 x86)

I have openSuse 11.1(x86) with KDE 4.1.3 an i am using the 180.16 driver.
On the first start of the computer, i get a message, that plasma has crashed.

I attached an nvidia bugreport and a crash-backtrace.
Note: #5 in the backtrace point to a lib from nvidia

I had the same issue and it was a KDE4 bug.

Try this:
- Log out of KDE4
- Rename your .kde4 directory to something else
- Log back in

If it doesn't crash, it's probably a KDE4 bug. Removing .kde4/share/config/plasma* might help.

I wonder why how you guys conclude this is a nvidia related problem, just because some graphical application crashes.

On an other PC With openSuse 11.0 i have a similar problem:
With 177.82 there is no crash of plasma, when loggin in.
But with 180.xx (180.18 not testet) there are these crashes.

I found the reason: The Wallpaper.

How to reproduce:

Get any Wallpaper with an aspect ration that does NOT match to your screen-aspect ratio
Set it as wallpaper and a scalce method set: "scale and cut".

Log out and login.

Workaround: Scale and cut it manually and save it as jpeg.
