Default nvidia 180.22 on opensuse 11.1 + Quadro 210S fails at "(EE) No devices detected"

I'm running Opensuse 11.1 on X86_64,

Code:
uname -a
  Linux server 2.6.27.7-9-default #1 SMP 2008-12-04 18:10:04 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I've two nvidia cards: an MSI mobo, with integrated NVidia (Quadro 210S) graphics,
as well as a PCI-based, GeForce 7200SE.

Code:
	lspci | grep -i vga
00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51 [Quadro NVS 210S/GeForce 6150LE] (rev a2)
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G72 [GeForce 7300 SE] (rev a1)
I've built & installed the latest (v180.22) NVidia drivers, with the goal of getting
the mobo video using the new driver,

Code:
cd /usr/src/linux
cp -f /usr/src/linux-obj/x86_64/default/.config .config
cp -f /usr/src/linux-obj/x86_64/default/Module.symvers .
make clean
make oldconfig
make scripts
make prepare
wget http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/180.22/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-180.22-pkg2.run
setenv SYSSRC "/usr/src/linux"
rm /var/log/nvidia-installer.log
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-180.22-pkg2.run -q
	(interactive)
reboot
...

lsmod | grep -i nv

Using framebuffer graphics, with Device[0] in xorg.conf defined as,

Code:
	Section "Device"
	  Identifier "Device[0]"
	  Driver "fbdev"
	  BoardName "Framebuffer Graphics"
	  VendorName "VESA"
	EndSection
everything's fine.

If, however, I change to use the newly installed driver,

Code:
	Section "Device"
	  Identifier "Device[0]"
	  Driver "nvidia"
	  VendorName "NVIDIA"
	  BoardName "Quadro 210S"
	  BusID "0:5:0"
	EndSection
@ 'startx', I get:

Code:
	(EE) No devices detected
	Fatal Server Error:
	No Screens Found
and get dropped back to prompt :-/

I've included the complete /var/log/Xorg.0.log below ... I note @,

Code:
(II) NV: driver for NVIDIA chipsets: ...
lots of chipsets, but no mention of the 210S. I do see the 'GeForce 6150 LE', which,
according to 'lspci' the card also IDs as ...

Reading @,

http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...64_180.22.html
http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_18897.html

The 210S is clearly supported.

Have I missed any config so as to be able to use the nvidia driver with the 210S?

Something else?

Thanks.

This is a known bug in the X server when you have more than one display device. You need to specify the BusID in the Device section.

Yes.

As per my original post, I have

Code:
	Section "Device"
	  Identifier "Device[0]"
	  Driver "nvidia"
	  VendorName "NVIDIA"
	  BoardName "Quadro 210S"
	  BusID "0:5:0" <------------------------------------
	EndSection
and, even with that BusID, the problem occurs ...

I have a Sony laptop VGN-Z21WN with 2 graphic cards :
- one is a Nvidia 9300M GS
- the other is an Intel 4 Series

and I have the same problem.

One's on your motherboard, the other a CardBus adapter? or ... ?

Can you provide a URL/reference for the bug?

I'm not sure why your BusID line didn't work. Please post a complete bug report.

Once that's been done (@ linux-bugs@nvidia.com), how/where can one track & follow-up the bug?
