Maybe I will load this up and see how it plays now, back with my 9800GX2's DX10 mode was unplayable.

DX10 is probably playable for me with some settings toned down... I loaded it up with max settings, including 16xQ AA... and it ran at like 20fps... so I am sure I could get a solid 30-40 out of it.

I love announcements like this because they prove that new IP's can still survive in the industry. I enjoyed Call of Juarez immensely but the staggered EU/US release and shaky sales figures had me worried that we would have to wait another decade for another decent western themed first person shooter.

I think STEAM did a lot to build a following with several CoJ sales events during 2008. If there is one reason to love content delivery services like STEAM it's their potential to lift Indie or more obscure titles from fading away due to lack of exposure.

Seems like the original was never well optimized for nvidia cards or SLI in dx10, hopefully the sequel will be better.

Wow... apparently this game is set to be released in Europe between April and June of this year.

If that is the case, AWESOME.

Does anybody know if this game will be released via Steam?

Every Ubisoft new release has been on Steam on day one or day two since Assassin's Creed, so I would bet CoJ2 would be as well.

Good to hear. I only buy from steam. I hate all the clutter around.

Same here, it annoys the heck out of me when I have to go retail.

Hmm... bought the first one when Steam had a killer deal on it a while back... have yet to beat it still.

Like the game, just get pre-occupied and never finnish it. Look forward to the second.
