Really? My monitor doesn't even support that resolution. As a matter of fact, I don't think I ever had one that did, lol.

People usually post a screenshot of soemthing at the resolution with AA, so I never even see how it's needed. Would it be too much for to ask someone to post a shot without AA at the resolution?

Also very much needed at 2560x1600

Yeah, but isn't 16x AA a bit extreme for that resolution? I mean, maybe like, 2xAA, right?

I use 4xAA on newer games usually... I think 4xAA is good enough at 1920 res, if it's a game I can't max. Mirror's Edge is actually an exception though, as it has such a crisp and clean look, you want as much AA as possible.

They did on console, believe me.

I do agree on the bit about needing AA in a title like this. But yeah, 4AA sounds about right. 8xCSAA runs very smooth for me and I couldn't be happier. If I crank the resolution to 1440x900 then it looks pretty darn crisp. The game is just so beautiful.

Guess I have an idea of what I need to upgrade as far as hardware goes, lol. The day I can run it at that resolution and AA without my PC melting would be awesome.

Speaking of console, I plugged my XBOX360 controller in and gave it a whirl. Wow, talk about awkward. I tried to play the tutorial stage and had some difficulty. I think it's because I haven't played a game like this (FPS) with a controller in a long time. But it just feels so natural playing games like this with keyboard and mouse.

I played the PS3 version all the way to the boat level, and trust me when I say that the game controls a lot better with KB&M.

I almost feel like this is a PC game first and was ported to consoles, even though it's the other way around.

Way to go Dice.

Woow this game looks totaly awsome and runs great to. as NarcissistZero said this game feels like it really was a Pc game from get go and thanks to that as Dice knows the Pc crowd, it's their bread and butter

These guys really know how to optimize and do killer looking games. in some pics it even rival Crysis I think and runs a million times better. well done!
High Res textures does all the difference

And +1 on NarcissistZero's comment as well.

Meh, just finished it and I was slightly unimpressed by the whole thing.

I just feel like they got the mechanics of it wrong - it felt like it took far too long to speed up (I can get to top sprinting pace in 15-20m so I don't know why it takes her about 50) and it was really difficult to maintain momentum, doing the roll after a jump slows you down to nothing as does sliding and the higher vaults.

I just didn't find it particularly thrilling like jumping between buildings should be.

Otherwise the graphics and performance were good and I quite enjoyed the story.

6.5/10 from me (i.e. just above average).

So I take it this addon doesn't actually add anymore missions, but rather just more maps for time trials?

If so, I'll pass on this one as I'm not interested in time trials. If they actually added another mission like Anchorage Operation, I would get it.

At least EA gave us the option to buy it, instead of ignoring the PC platform.
