Default Asus G1Sn + NVidia 9500GS M

So I have been struggling to get the NVidia drivers to work with more than 2 gigs of ram for almost 2 weeks now... I found this old thread on these forums but it looks like the people that helped get it working are long gone... has anyone been able to get a G1Sn working with 3+ gigs of ram on the most recenter kernel/ubuntu? If so would you mind giving me a hand finding and downloading the most current kernel source files so I can make the needed edits?

Thanks,
~Jeff
