Default xorg 1.6 randr 1.3

Anybody have any more information on randr 1.3. Looks like some changes were committed. Ubuntu jaunty is going to ship with this. Can nvidia provide any insight/ideas as to if they are going to support 1.3, and does it have multiple GPU support? (xinerama replacement)

I like others design multihead systems ( up to 12 displays ) for our company which require xinerama and performance is a major factor.

As a general user, I'm really looking forward to this. I haven't seen much news about the progress of RandR 1.3, or NVIDIA's support for it. I have a 3-monitor setup with the center rotated 90 degrees for coding. It's a perfect setup, but completely annoying dealing with separate displays because Xinerama doesn't support something like this. (I won't even mention the other annoyances with Xinerama)

I couldn't even get RandR 1.2 to work, so I'm stuck with plain old separate displays. Does anyone else have a similar hardware setup?

I have a similar setup at home. I have three 24" monitors hooked up to two nvidia 9600gt. Xinerama is very problematic (slow 2D, crushes CPU) and thats why I posted this. randr1.2 is not supported in the nvidia driver either, thats why I was looking excited that this got into the next xorg release.
