How to change the résolution ?
Ok, I don't speak really good english, but I hope you'll understand me
My pb i that I cannot run X in the resolution that I want. It can only boot in 800x600 (or lower, I didn't try) but I want 1152x864 (my graphic card and my monitor can support it).
I installed the Nvidia linux drivers, and now have a Nvidia splash screen at the boot. But, if I change the resolution in the mandrake control panel, I have a black screen at the next session (In fact, not a black screen...it's just that the monitor is in stand by mode).
So, my question is "how can I change my resolution without having a black screen ?"
plz help me thx
card: winfast GeForce 256 SDRAM
motherboard: Abit KR7A
Linux Mandrake 9.1
