Default LCD TV not being properly detected.

Hi, I have a Technika LCD22-408 TV. I'm using it as a second monitor via the VGA port on my HP DV2058ea laptop, but it's not being properly detected, here are some specs:

OS: Ubuntu 8.10
Graphics card: NVidia GeForce Go 7200
Graphics driver: NVidia 180.22 (Same problem with previous versions also)

It is supposed to go to 1680x1050 but I can only get these resolutions:

1360x768, 1152x864, 1024x768, 800x600, 680x384, 640x480, 576x432, 512x384, 400x300, 320x240

It's an obscure UK-based make, it's actually Tesco's own electronics brand so I'm guessing it's a rebranded television, which makes it difficult to find support online for it.

On the monitors settings page on NVidia X Server Settings it only shows Refresh rate: 60 Hz and sliders to adjust digital vibrance and image sharpening. Looks very bare compared to the page for my laptop's screen.

I've attached a nvidia-bug-report.log

EDIT: Looking at line 729 it does appear to be an EDID problem.
