Default Nvidia Linux Updater

Is the a download for just the updater program for the nvidia drivers? I have a suse 8.2 installed and downloaded the driver from yast update. It installed fine but there is no updater installed. Is there a seperate download for this? Thanks for any info.

The driver that you got from yast update isn't the one that's distributed on the nVidia site, I don't believe (though I don't use SuSE, so I could be wrong). It seems more likely that the driver you got was just an RPM.

The .run file includes the nvidia-installer binary (the one you would use to upgrade). The RPMs very likely wouldn't -- you should be using rpm to upgrade it if that's how you installed it, not the installer, because the installer deletes any RPM packages on the system before doing its work.
