That's something I think I need to do. Do you think I should restart? I haven't gotten too far into it yet, just got my jump squad. Been doing some CPU multiplayer skirmishes and getting my ass handed to me mostly (I haven't played an RTS since WC2). Loving the game, though.

Hey, in multiplayer is it possible to set a Fall Back rally point, or will they only go back to the main base?

No need to restart unless you want to try a mod. If you start exploring now you'll get some nice high level items and will be able to build a nice squad.

Ya know what would be really great, is if the next expansion or whatever, they allow you to keep your squad and you go on to new battles. Lvl up everything to like 40 and make better items to get, and on top of that start adding in the other races campaigns, like eldar or orc. Would be hella tight, and keep the game very interesting, also, allow 4 player coop would be really cool! Is that even possible?

I'm more interested in single player campaigns with the other races for expansion.

So I finally tried a real multiplayer match, not vs the CPU. I lost, but managed to lose by not too much. I sure don't get how everyone can churn units out so much faster than I can, but it's been a long while since I've played an RTS.

I'm just about finishing the campaign for the second time, this time in coop. It's replayability due to coop is immense, I was really having a blast until towards the end where it started to wear a little and feel repetitive. But it just went from wicked awesome to just good, so no biggie. I love just love being able to play coop mode, in spite of L4D, it's still an overlooked feature in many games

I want to play Dead Space in Coop, that game would be hella nice in coop for sure. Me and a good friend of mine, that's all we would play. Ofcourse we do play a lot of games!

Yea, DoW II does get a lil boring near the end, I hope relic is working on additional content. That would really keep this game alive.

I loved it at the end! Even more so with mods. I can now deep drop 3 tanks in though. Little unbalanced, but so fun to blow up buildings. Nice physics.

What's coop like? I played multiplayer with a friend the other day, but all we did was play 2v2 against the CPU. What makes coop campaign fun? I want to talk him into it

It's a HELL of a lot less micro-management and really better positioning. Coop brings a much needed element to this type of game.

How does it work? Do you both get to make up your units for drop, or is the first player the one who sets all that up?

Also, does the savegame progress only exist on the host computer?

Yea it only saves on the host computer, but you can change who uses who, and you both command 2 units. I think the originator also chooses where to go I believe.
