I'm talking my time with this and I can easily say it's one of the best I've played. Not sure why, but this game just suits me. SFIV and DOWII side by side. I may never buy another game again. :

nekro, no, and infact the AI is supposedly not as good. From my experience, fighting trash isn't all to difficult and its getting a little boring now. I can pretty much kill anything by setting up my shooters, sending in hero/tanks, and then using the rocket packs to pounce on any dense clusters or commanders. The boss fights are pretty fun, I havnt lost to one yet but theres been a few where it looked kinda grim. But again I've been winning these by pretty much spacing out my guys...setting up 4 sentries, and just making sure nobody sits in targeted super attacks.
Also imo the game needs a little more loot... I dont think im level 10 yet though but its been a while since some slots have seen an upgrade. I really really hope we see a new edition of the games with campaigns for the other 3 races. the game has all the loot and talent points and balance, it just needs the story segments now.

I plays unlike any recent RTS. More like the Ground Control games or infact a lot like Syndicate Wars. You only have a handful of Marines on the ground. jeff is right, the tactics can be a little simple. Setup cover fire with the Devastators, sniper any big enemies with the scouts, send in the Commander and fly in the Assaults and you can pretty much win any battle. Still it's so freaking awesome to watch it play out.

Singleplayer isn't at all same. It feels very different.
But multiplayer is very similar, even thought there are some differences. The vehicles are very dominant in CoH, in DoW2 they are easy to destroy. The multiplayer balance is tuned so all units feel bit more important, even in late game. And of course there is four different races, whereas CoH obviously was more limited in unit variety. Also the leaders can be fairly powerful when they have leveled and got upgrades, but even so they are not super mighty. Also note that multiplayer only has 1vs1 and 3vs3 and not that many maps. It is tuned for those setups but I guess 2vs2 will arrive later with more maps or in some expansion. |

Lvl 20's now, about to finish the game, you get really nice drops now, mostly blues on the main guys. Working on the stragglers (Cyrus and Thadd) lvling them up and upgrading them. I have all 3 term armor sets, just haven't found good drops for weapons (blues) anyone post their weapons/armor would be cool.
Still like the game, just wish it would continue after your done, why would a reward be a blue laser cannon that you can't use cause you completed the game!?!

Regarding CoH vs DoW2, the upcoming CoH expansion Tales of Valor does indeed take from the DoW2 singleplayer elements. No base building and you follow a company through the 3 different mini-campaigns.

well i figt thiese on typhoon the jungle rainforest kinda place and they are everywhere and in greeat numbers i donīt stand a chance and i havenīt gotten to the "boss" yet on this mission. so how do i defeat them?

Game is too easy on normal and too hard on hard...
I'm looking of ways to make Hard easier, or Normal harder...

Getting better at the game -> making hard easier
![]() I played on captain difficulty, fit me perfectly.. it was challanging, but not too much so - except for one of the eldar missions, god daaamn I got my ass beated like 10 times in a row and all my planets got totally infested meanwhile lol ![]()

i wish i had some more units at my disposal i have thadeus some bold guy with grenades and some mean guys with big guns and then cyrus and me of course but it feels it ainīt enough against the tyranids they are som fearce adn kill me pretty easy i wish i had a nuclear kind of stirke or tanks but i have no veichels at all at my disposal i am on day 17 i think it is a 3 part mission about orks tyranids and some poison or so
well i gotta keep fightning and i f i get tired iīll try another day

I'm replaying it now, using a mod that increases squad sizes and changes the weapons a bit. That should make things easier for the harder difficulties but still be challenging.
