but again never have used the word "superior" ,neither that the Nv35 is superior in games. only that both cards goes neck to neck in 3dmark2003,
slighly better the Nv35 at those settings .but i agree .. we need to wait for FInal games to ship.

What about Q3 and UT2003. The NV35 is clearly the winner there.
Heck even my NV30 kicks butt in it.

Both cards are very close. The overall speed is about the same.
So it will boil down to who likes what card.
There will be no run aways in performance.

The irony in 3dmark03 scores is just ****ing amazing, people go on and on on certain threads on how the benchmark is stupid, useless, should not be used under any circumstances when reviewing a card, shouldnt be taken into consideration when making a gfx card purchase, yet even with all that, the same people who go on and on about the uselessness of the benchmark in question, still go and brag about its scores and how it is somehow dominating the competition, make up your minds

I don't see how the NV35 is the clear winner in UT2003. If anything, the 9800Pro seems to have the slight edge.

Say there is a sport you love... let's say baseball. And a major contender.... let's say sammy sosa, is doing very well. At the peak of being loved he is caught cheating. Now, in the search through his gazillion (too many for one baseball player) other bats it is found that they are all clear.

Now let's say this guy hated the home run derby (or whatever it's called) but still participated because that was what he was good at. Would you still take his home runs into account after the fiasco?

I thought a while on this, and even though there are serious doubts in my mind i would.

I was being sarcastic, I expect me 9700 Pro to be more than enough for Half-life2 & Doom3...but I'll probably have to upgrade the Tuly.
