Gateway P-7811 FX Notebook
Intel Core 2 Duo ~ 2.26 Ghz 4GB DDR3 GeForce 9800M GTS ~512 mb Windows Vista Home Premium 64 I am attempting to install the Crysis 1.2 patch, directly after installing Crysis. After downloading the file, I open it and get "Error 1642". I have tried with clean installs, however, I get the same results. Help please? |

I have the same error - the error means that the program isn't where the patch expects it to be.
I used the default install path on Windows 7 C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis But for some reason it doesn't like that path and I see no way to tell the patch where the game is located. |

You may want to look at an .ini file in the patch itself to see if where it is suppose to load. Then you should be able to edit that file and tell it where to go.
