hmm weird thing happened last night

turned on the PC after about 15 mins after i had turned i off and it refused to POST just like before when my C0 version failed, just kept restarting itself even after pressing the reset cmos button. then tried again this morning and it booted fine (with default settings)

WTF happened i do not know (no beeps either last night)

I'm getting 5 beeps over & over non-stop I've cleared reset to defaults, reflashed with the latest BIOS, reseating RAM, NO RAM... 5 beeps continues. System seems fine other than it won't read the DVD's in the DVD drive. It does say Checksum error on the occasional boot.

MB toast?

Got RMA'ed MB

So when Turbo is enabled, is the multiplier for a 920 constantly at 21x or is that just when you're gaming or doing something CPU intensive?

It sounds like you have the voltage set to auto.

it most definitely is not.

I put 1.28125 in bios.
CPU-z shows 1.264
Everest shows 1.26

both scores climb to 1.66 when stressed.

EIST and C1E are disabled. HT is enabled.

Here its at idle.

With everest and LinX, CPU core goes from 1.26 - 1.66 and back and forth. Before, it used to just go to 1.66 and stay there. Looks more and more like some sort of glitch. I need to try different bios'.

no, my motherboard is ****ed up. I am actually gonna take it back down to stock and either RMA or just get a new one. It automatically sets the voltage to like ~1.66 when stressed. i am pretty unhappy about this. I hoped for better things from gigabyte. maybe the new x58a or whatever boards....
