Can't go wrong with the new 120Hz Samsung + NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle.

It's $600 and comes with the 3D glasses.

i haven't shopped for monitor in about 3 years, so haven't payed attention, my gateway that died had S-PVA panel.

post some recomendations, but nothing crazy in price, lest say 350 max, but would preffer something about $300.

I really wish I could test one of those out some time to see what all the hype is about.

It seems extremely overpriced to me considering that its only a 22" 1680x1050 screen. You can buy a similar screen for under $200 minus the 3D effects and 120Hz refresh rate.

That's basically bottom of the barrel these days and I wouldn't even consider buying a standard monitor with those specs for a high tech gaming system. A 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 screen that is 24" or larger would be MUCH more attractive in a package like this.

EDIT: I didn't know 3D Vision worked with 100Hz CRTs!

http://www.nvidia.com/object/GeForce...uirements.html

My 22" can probably do 100Hz at 1600x1200! I just might have to try this out.

EDIT: $200 for glasses and a 50% performance hit? Nevermind.

Scavenge your local Best Buys for any open box or clearance items. My Dell was $298, which might have been a pricing error because it went back up to $400 almost immediately after I bought it.

This Samsung is on clearance. I did a quick store lookup, and it shows that the BB in Bloomingdale has it in stock. Might be worth checking out since you can buy online and do an in-store pickup.

Dell S2409W, seems like a great deal at a great price to me. My main display is Mike's old 24" and its been great to me! In fact we've had a few monitors in that size range, Samsungs, Viewsonics, Dells and in my opinion the Dell's are far superior.

The only bad caps were the 470uF 25v ones but since they were all the same poor performing GF series I decided to play it safe and replace them all. In time these bad caps will undoubtedly take down many of these monitors.

These are the capacitors I used and the quantity required.
