I like 22"s because you can typically get a great frame rate out of the native res (typically 1680x1050) and because a 19" as a secondary monitor (@ 1280x1024) works almost perfectly beside it.

Ive got the LG Flatron W2452T 24" monitor its 1920x1200 res & 10000:1 contrast ratio, not one dead pixel, colours are really vibrant, good viewing angle, games just look stunning at 1920x1200, movies look great in HD also ... had this monitor for like 5 months now and no matter how many times i look at it im still impressed .. cost me £200, to me that was a bargin stepping up from a sony 22" CRT.

Ahh well okey and yes it's a pretty smart thing to do as it's only 1680*1050 but I prefer a higher dotpitch as I used to have a 20 ws mon and 24 at 1920*1200 have pretty much the same dot pitch as the 20 at 1680*1050!

That 47 inch must be great for racing games and so

E228WFP is TN panel and it's not bad to me.

Great review:
http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/revie...l-e228wfp.html

The review mentions that all 22s are TN panel. I don't know if that's the same since the article was written.

Yea Dell is pretty quick at shipping. So what did you get, a 2408WFP?

EDIT: Found it, you got a 2209WA. Looks like a decent monitor, be interesting to see how you like it.
