P.S. I thought AA still never worked in this game, but forcing it does work. Everyone probably knows that, but it was a surprise to me. Games looks stunning with AA.

That is what I was afraid of.. Too bad.. I think Cod 4-5 killed Ut off. THis was the last game I purchased on blind faith and on brand and I got the collectors edition. No one plays online so I feel ripped.

Now I wait for posts and reviews before going near any game unless a demo is available and grabs me.

Bugger y'all!
I just got this game and the only thing other than curse words my parents hear is "DOMINATING!!!"

I love Unreal Tournament. It's my slaughter-relieving stress.

I've always thought that UT3 looked too bright and washed out. Now all of the sudden people are saying it's too dark... O_o

Personally, I use Vivid because I find that the darker picture creates more contrast between colors and as a result makes the game a lot more colorful and, well, vivid. Makes the colors stand out more rather than blending into each other. I'm not blind, so I don't have any problems spotting enemies. Vivid also seems to have less haze than other post-processing modes, or at least makes the haze less obvious.

Regardless of how I feel I'm sure Destroy and others will gladly burst in with more negativity even though we all already know how they feel. They've got to repeat themselves constantly across multiple forums, you know. It's in their internet access contract.

LOL TOO DARK LACK OF PROPER WIDESCREEN SUPPORT BLURRY TEXTURES I LOVE LAMP MY LEFT TESTICLE IS ON FIRE AND I DON'T ACTUALLY PLAY GAMES I JUST COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM AND FOCUS ON THEIR FLAWS WITHOUT MENTIONING A SINGLE GOOD POINT NO MATTER HOW SMALL THAT GOOD POINT IS LOL CAPSLOCK AND NO PUNCTUATION

*edit*

I'm not cranky or bitter at all, by the way... _

AA has been in UT3 since it was released.

Actually it still isn't in the actual game, you have to force it. I don't think forcing it worked at launch, but maybe it did. Either way, I was pleasantly surprised.

As far as I remember, it didn't work at launch, both ATI and nVidia had to make an AA profile for UT3 engine games, it took a while

OK, I might be being a bit thick here, but I can't seem to get AA working... When you say you are forcing AA, do you mean through nHancer or through nVidia Control Panel. I've tried through the Control Panel and no joy. I can't try through nHancer as I haven't a clue how to do it

So if you could give specific details of how to force it, it would be much appreciated

nHancer. It's simple, just download nHancer and it will automatically find all the games on your system and make a profile for them. When it's done, find UT3 and set AA on the right side... I am using 16xAA. You can also force AF but UT3 actually uses 16xAF on the highest texture detail setting by default.

Ditto. I mean the UT2004 main menu comes to mind, looks childish (toy) and way too colorful. The UT2003 menu was awesome they should have kept that one. I really like the edgier "darker" tone now, gruesome and bloody. I really like the UE3, architectural beauty. Plus any company that supports the community, (make something Unreal contest + tool set for mappers and modders on the PC) is okay in my book. Epic has truly made fans happy with this new patch and pack. At it shows in the way people speak about it now (steam forums etc.) people seem to be enjoying this game finally. Now we can just ride the wave and have fun playing online. Till' the next UT game comes out.
