The desktop form factor is a priority for Project Denver. The press release definitely points to higher-end computing.

Engadget Article

"NVIDIA announced today that it plans to build high-performance ARM® based CPU cores, designed to support future products ranging from personal computers and servers to workstations and supercomputers."

The nice thing about ARM, since it's currently in mobile devices, is that it's easy to scale down to make processors that are ultra low power. The problem is scaling the architecture up to higher levels of performance for the desktop/laptop arena. In that regard, I think Nvidia are going to have a tough time with this one.

Should I assume a15 and not a9 cortex? That would be nice, and is definately a place nvidia could lead the pack if it can deliver early.
