Default Outputting analog and digital to different ports

I have a Quadro FX 4800 card. To the DVI port I have a DVI-fiber extender ultimately hooked up to an LCD monitor. On the first DisplayPort I am using the displayport to DVI adapter and am hooking up an LCD. I need to be able to hooked up this second LCD via VGA. If I only hook this display up using a DVI-VGA adapter after unplugging the fiber extender, everything is fine. However, if the fiber extender is in, it will only output digital to the displayports. I have confirmed this same operation using an 8800GTX card as well just via the 2 DVI ports. I thought you were supposed to be able to supply analog and digital separately to different ports? Am I wrong?

Here is my xorg.conf file. I am having to force the EDID modes because the card cannot recognize that anything is connected via the fiber extender.

Default Re: Outputting analog and digital to different ports

So I ultimately figured this out and thought I would post a solution. In order to do this, you *HAVE* to use CRT-0. You cannot have your analog be CRT-1.

For me this meant moving my DVI connection to the Displayport-DVI adapter and buying new power bricks for the sending side of my DVI Fiber extender. Yay for Displayports stupid design to require constant power connection. Without the extrra power brick, the video flashes on and off. It doesn't need the power to work seeing as I get an output, it is purely part od the spec.
