Sense of humor, I think, it's the only good thing that's going on in this moment on the forum.

Anyway you're giving contents thanks for this, seems like linux culture is missing in this nvidia development

Well I find it odd that they are not honored anymore, because they are working perfectly fine for me.

  • upgrade 30 sec black screen to smashing 2 minutes. This should allow to go to the bathroom and get fresh coffee when restarting X.

I have noticed that suspend+resume sometimes works now with the NVreg_enableMSI=1 option, where before it would never work. Maybe this will be fixed up fully sometime during the 185.xx cycle.

IIRC that started to work in general with 2.6.29 where they made lots of PCI powermanagement changes.

I am still using 2.6.28. I should mention, though, that my wireless card (iwlagn), storage controller (achi) and sound card (snd-hda-intel) all use MSI interrupts and work just fine on resume.

I just confirmed this - reinstalled 180.27 - PowerMizer level forced down to zero.
Reinstalled 185.13 - PowerMizer stuck in highest level. All this without touching xorg.conf.
At least for my setup, this is a regression from 180.x.
