Default Any need to patch mythtv now that ffmpeg has vpdau?

If I upgrade my ffmpeg libs to this release: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...item&px=NzEzMg, do I still need the mythtv patches?

Since mythtv calls ffmpeg, we can now use any stock mythtv build, right?
Or are there other considerations that must be taken into account?

I think you'll still need to use whatever ffmpeg version MythTV was designed to work with, and include any patches MythTV contains.

You should ask this question on MythTV forums though, since they'll know more about swapping in different ffmpeg versions there.
