Wow it sucks I'm still able to see that retards comments when someone quotes him.

I would go ahead and add him to your ignore list. Great closing comments and this is a fantastic simulation. Not for the type of people who take a PS3 controller and shove it up their butt and play through all the metal gear cinemas while looking at Spiderman porn.

+1 to sticky the other thread.

I call it switchology and you have the option of pressing a Shift Button to get everything up and running in a few seconds.

My God.

It's like joining the air force and learning to fly a helicopter from scratch.

Absolutely authentic.

Check this out. The simHQ preview.

If you're into hardcore sims, you have to get this - but it's full on.

(56 buttons just to get the thing started in authentic flight mode.)
If i wanted something stupid like this i would sign up for flight school, but not have on my ****ing computer. Tom Clancy's Hawx owns it.

NEXT.

They are called simulations ie the point is to simulate the real thing, don't be so close minded. So you don't need to join flight school in order to experience what flying a helicopter is like. Fine if you like brainless button mashing arcade titles like HAWX made for 10 year olds, i enjoy them too, but titles like Black Shark are still tons of fun.

Hawx has 1 thing going for it. It keeps people like you out of our sims.

Also as far as hawx goes. If i wanted to fly a space vehicle that defies the laws of gravity and physics I'd join NASA.

You got some sense for humor.

Wow ... The premise is to have something a little deeper than an arcade game that resembles magical flying. If you think Tom Clancy's HAWX owns it you have no clue as to what goes on in a real Simulation. Too each their own but to say HAWX owns it I would love to understand in what regard. Please explain.

I guess you're right. Most of the younger crowd goes for the light weight stuff that gives you about 40 hours worth of play then they are on to the next title. Which plays perfectly with the game developers and publishers… They want to sell you more product.

I'm still flying the Latest incarnation of Falcon 4 by Free Falcon after its release in 1998. It's still an amazing sim and definitely one of the most rewarding.

Speaking of the early days of Flight Sims... One of my favorites was Janes 15. I read a great book by a guy named James Smallwood about a particular Fighter Pilot who flew F-15E Strike Eagles in Desert Storm. Great book but after reading it and getting into the game it made it so much better; Many of the things the guys were facing going into Bagdad are in the game.

Too bad we can't convert some of the Arcade guys into real simmers. They don't know what they are missing. I'm not talking about the switchology I'm talking about the tactics like F-Pole and A-Pole BVR stuff and even the ACM BFM stuff you really have to know to be competent.
