wow you guys are judging the game from really bad magazine scans... They had to move locations and change it up abit... the first two games pretty much closed that chapter in his life...

Those scans don't look bad to me. Can't wait to see some real gameplay.

Yeah it could be a good game after all, but please Rockstar, don't put the Max Payne name on it. You can create another great franchise with another hero with another look in another environment, you don't need to change Max Payne!!!

Oh dear god what happened?

This could be a good game, who knows, it's not out yet, but I highly doubt it's going to have that Max Payne feel...cuz it's not Max, they can keep telling me it is, but it isn't.

They should have called this game Hank Hurt and I would have been fine with that. But Max...oh no...I don't think so.

Hmm...

I'm not going to pass judgement on this yet but I have to agree with the "WTF".

Some filthy, bald, musclular guy in a tank top shooting people in Brazil...

Doesn't sound like Max Payne, but I guess if they do it right they can give it the same feel.

The game takes place 10 years AFTER Max Payne 2. We don't know what he went through in those 10 years... I mean he is a junkie after all... and usually hated by everyone in the city...

I think the biggest hang ups here are the loss of the dark rainy city "noir" feel and the narrator. He can be bald, crazy and dirty but its hard to get the same feel of New York City with a jungle and tin shacks. Not having the same voice actor just makes it worse. Its been 6 years since the last game, I'm sure James McCaffrey sounds a little bit older. It would have worked fine.
