The guy who had the article said the shots were mostly in a jungle ghetto, and that's what the scans show.

Well, I just got my Game Informer, and guess who's the cover boy?

I'll try and get screens up soon, but here are some details:

-Takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
-Most of the screens are in the day with a ghetto jungle vibe (think of like RE5)
-Story is 12 years after MP2 I think. Either the game details the "missing years" of Max or not is unclear.
-Bullet-time is still there, and from what I read, the gameplay is still relatively the same. There is a cover system and more fluid animations now.

The 10 page cover story hardly reveals anything actually. Just a lot of jungle screens, and talk of the original Max Payne's.
It just isn't looking like we're going to see anything that resembles the first two games. They were dark, dreary and almost entirely in a city. We haven't seen anything like that from this one.

Hope we get to see some more of the game soon, gameplay and screens. If the gameplay is great, I think most people will forget the changes in character and environments.

It will, unfortunately. Do you really think Rockstar, who gave us a ****ty port of GTA IV, would develop anything with the PC in mind? :P

Funny you say that since the second looked and played great on the PC and yet it was a multiplatform release with far weaker systems then currently available.

Wasnt Max payne II on PC done by remedy and rockstar (or one of the many rockstar studios) responsible for console conversion? Meaning to say that the PC development was pretty much independent of consoles?

This time around this is a consolidated effort. Rather than concentrating on making the game better on the most capable platform, they'll try and work the otherway around, i.e. look at what the weakest machine could do and move on from there. (i.e. poor pc controls as the consoles in general lack keyboard + mouse )
