Longer version and it tells you what parts are running on what console.

I think MaxFX is the new editor of PC Gamer.

Seriously, has anyone read that mag lately? They cut out the editorials and turned the tone of writing into a "PC ROXORZ" kind of vocabulary.

Thanks. Downloaded the mp4 version and checked it out. Looks great for being on console, especially the later parts in the forest and the bridge.

PS3 handles it much smoother than the 360. No surprise there really though.

It looks pretty good for a console!

Can't wait to see what the engine can do on the PC!

Hmmm i smell so much hype around cryengine 3....anyone remember the tech demo's that crytek showed for cryengine 2 around 4 or 5 years ago lolol

Lets just hold off opinions untill actual games are released for consoles using cryengine 3, a tech demo is not solid evidence of what a console can do on cryengine 3 and comparing the tech demos between ps3 and x360 is just silly at this early on in development.

Tech demo's still show the capabilities of the engine. How those capabilities are used is a whole other cup of tea.

Note that I think CE2 is still the best engine in terms of visuals I have used. The scale and level of detail are amazing, even today. With Warhead, there were some updates made and several speed improvements which made it better looking AND better performing than Crysis, in my opinion.

Can't really bash these devs, they make good engines and extremely taxing games.

Yes they do make fantastic use of there engines, im just stating we shouldn't be going off tech demo's to get a final representation of graphical quality in a game...especially on a console. I have no doubt that the visuals will be amazing on all systems but i want to see a game using cryengine 3.

Looking forward to seeing how much better a chopped down CE2 will run on PC comments comfuse me.
Optimized my arse.

Re-compiled and LOD lowered more like.

Having said that I was never that impressed with CE2's physics so if they can add some physx layers after the chop down it would be nice .

Trees seem to be a stack of coffee cans and all other plant life is indestructible .

It's the best performance I ever saw on a console.
I still hope someone make a good pc game with it with no compromise in IQ.
