Default FrameBuffer (vesafb), geforce, and refresh rate = 100hz ?

Hi everybody,

I have a geforce card (the first one), i use a Debian Sid, with the driver 43.49 (official sid package).

I want to use framebuffer in console *only* (not under X)
to do that, I use vesafb (i don't succeed in using rivafb), and it works
but the refresh rate is always 60hz and it's awfull for my eyes
i put this line in grub to load my kernel :
kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda6 ro hdd=ide-scsi vga=0x314 video=vesa:mtrr,ypan:800x600@100

and refresh rate is still 60hz

Does someone know how to solve this problem ?

Using vesafb it is not possible to get more than 60Hz. The only way you can get it is using an updated vesa 3.0 driver (which doesn't exist yet) or by using rivafb. The problem is that rivafb is hell unstable and unusable.
