What's the headache though really? Is it any worse than setting up a compatability profile for Quake 2 or whatnot?

You can play through the game fine for now with no problems... if you want to reinstall it 5 years from now and Atari is dead and never patched out the DRM, then just do a quick google search for a cracked .exe and use it. Probably would take 5 minutes or less.

That's just my opinion.

Wow, Dark Athena has an awesome halfway point... great "boss" fight, great story progression, and the second half of the game seems stunning so far. It's turned much more into a shooter in the second half, but Butcher Bay did too.

Some really stunning graphics in the second half too... maybe not Crysis level, but damn impressive.

Beat Dark Athena... felt about the same length as Butcher Bay to me... The reviews are right when they say the last half is all action, but they're wrong when they say it's mediocre action... I felt like the first half of Dark Athena was excellent stealth/melee action and the second half was excellent shooting action. The planet levels looked amazing!

Great game... great, great game.

I'd say this game should be boycotted straight away. I would never spend money with a such a form of DRM. I hope the ones that already bought and installed it are aware of the DRM you agreed to when you installed it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!

This game will suffer from piracy and it would have nothing to do with whether or not it's a good game. Alot of people will refuse to buy a game with DRM like this. Once again DRM is ruining PC gaming, not the gamers.
go cry...

Just beat Dark Athena.

**potential spoiler**

Ending was kind of short and didn't really explain much on how he finally escaped and what happened to Johns either.
