He stole the Dark Athena to escape. Johns was locked up in the ship's brig.

I thought I saw Johns getting dragged out of his cell by Revas though after Rid**** released the prisoners. It didn't show what happened to him after that. Also if all the cells were released how would Johns have been locked in the brig?

Its too bad that the kid wasn't actually Jack from Pitch Black (Kyro from Chronicles of Rid****), that would have been an interesting storyline, but then again Jack didn't show recognition toward Rid**** in Pitch Black when he first met him.

Yeah... the game takes place over a few hours time though, he's probably still knocked out. I would guess they hope to have another game between Dark Athena and the Pitch Black timeline.

I agree the ending was abrupt though... I was like "oh, the end." It was good though.

SPOILERS!

Just beat DA and I enjoyed the experience quite a bit.. only parts that REALLY annoyed me were near the end with those little freaking bug things on the wall that could kill you almost instantly. The few bosses they had were kind of pushovers sadly, but still a very enjoyable game. And yeah, the ending was really abrupt but we don't really need to see what happens to Johns... it will probably be in the next game, and if not, we at least know that he is alive because of what happens in Pitch Black lol.

Hahaha, I actually ran into this bug when I decided to try this out. Glad they fixed it, now I can make **** hit the fan all I want. Now if only the random OpenGL driver-related crashes could be remedied as well.

Yes they are... use your uhhh... whatever that one gun is called that can detonate the bullets (can't believe I forgot the dang name of this thing)... I usually ended up just peeking out long enough to shoot on NEAR the dang thing, then blow it up... pretty much after I got that gun I stopped using every other gun.

For those who care, Atari announced today on their forums they will patch-out the DRM once early sales are complete.

I would link to the Blue's News story, but I already closed it and am very lazy.

The SCAR is a great gun, I pretty much ditched all the other guns too after getting it. Has anyone tried out the multi? I can't find any servers online using the in-game matchmaker or server browser. Got my firewall off, the game patched, and all that, and still can't see anything.
