The few reviews we have say it's a little shorter than Butcher Bay, which is taking me quite a while. I have heard BB is about 10-12 hours, so I would guess Athena is 8-10...

Buthers is closer to 6-8 hours. Easy to do in a day. Even for me.

Different people go through games at different speeds... I'm already over 6 hours into this and am about halfway through, if memory of the original serves (the mines).

Same.

The first time I went stealth almost the whole way through and the game took a lot longer, but was also more enjoyable

Mines are pretty late I think. I will admit, I play the game often and no longer collect moths and Cig packs. Last time I played I did the directors commentary. That took awhile... Not as good as Valve's Commentary.

Still a fricken awesome game though and i can't believe i have to wait until 30th of April!

All those screenshots looks just like the first game to me. As far as shimmering, the first game had it pretty bad too. Sounds like not many changes were made from the first engine. I liked the first one but after awhile it got kind of old. Haven't played it in a long long time (still have it installed since it first came out) and that says something cause I usually do (the replays). Dunno if I'm going to get this one or not. Have to think a little more on it.

Getting toward the end of Butcher Bay... love this moment below, but I forgot what an annoying few levels these are...
