Default EVGA GTS 250 & SuSE /64 11.1

I added the above card since the on-board SLI chip had overscan/driver problems (XFX nForce 750a SLI Motherboard - AMD 64 3X cpu). Currently the NVIDIA GO2 is selected/loaded in Yast2 but only comes up VESA and does not recognize/load the card/driver. Is a BIOS/setup issue the problem or is this card too new and I have to wait for the next release of the driver NVIDIA Linux driver set? I have basic use using the DVI/VGA converter plug connecting it to the PC video port on my 40" LCD Samsung TV, no 3D etc.

Uninstall the x11-video-nvidiaG02 + nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-(kernel_flavor) rpms.

install the ones from the nvidia installer

ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Li...85.19-pkg2.run

Then follow the suse notes:

1) Kernel sources must be installed and configured. Usually this means
installing the 'kernel-source', 'make' and 'gcc' packages with YaST2.

open terminal and become root

type
Code:
init 3
to kill X (alternatively you can just boot to runlevel 3)

2) Use the nvidia installer for 185.19.

Code:
 sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-185.19-pkg2.run -q
3) Configure X.Org with

Code:
 sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia (0 is a digit, not a letter!)
restart x or reboot

once your desktop is up you can either look at your nvidia control panel to verify a working driver or run glxgears.
