The depth of field on the last page is WAAAAY overdone. I'm tired of these "realistic effects" which are not at all realistic.

For one, when I am talking to someone and my eyes wander they instantly refocus... I do not see a huge blur when I look away from someone's face, but that is exactly what I see in a game when I look away from someone's face.

Second, I never ever see a hige blur in person, ever. If you do you need freaking glasses. Same thing with lens flare, motion blur and whatever else... these effects all immitate movies, when they are first person and should be immitating real eyesight... it is so freaking retarded.

Luckily it's a PC game, so we can turn that crap off.

I see your point, but we all get it that you don't like it.

I don't think you should use photographs which have heavy depth of field effects to validate game depth of field. As I'm aware the game should be trying to emulate the human eye, not the lens. When I'm focusing on objects the rest of the world doesn't blur to extremes like that (maybe your eyes do?)

I'd like to say this is GSCs last chance to get the bugs under control, but I'll be back for as many stalkers as they make. All I can ask is when they get to the end, when they think it's time to go gold - take another 3 months more QA and then see what happens.

I think I read they are using external QA this time or something.

For me a bug free, polished STALKER would be game of the year without much thought. That includes a release of duke nukem forever that comes with a real stripper that relaxes you during play. come get some.

CoP dof will be just like in CS. So what's the problem ?

New weapon in CoP is Eliminator.

Quote:
Smooth-bore shotgun of revolver-type developed for soldiers to provide high firepower.

The main advantages are high magazine capacity and practicable fire rate, but the downsides are its big size and mass, so as slow reloading speed.

It is a rare find in the Zone, mainly used for mop-up operations against monsters in enclosed spaces.

Price: 9000
Accuracy: 0.25
Usability: 1.2
Damage: 0.52
Rate of fire: 155
Max bullets: 12
