Default startx freezes up computer

AMD XP 2000+
GF 3 TI 200 /64 MB
VIA KT 333
Red Hat 9

I run sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run (no errors)
I modify XF86Config (driver nvidia, load glx, remove load dri)
when run startx computer freeze (must press the reset button, no other solution Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, Ctrl+Alt+F1...F7, etc).

The last line in XF86 log is loading libglx.so

and nothing else after that

Thanks

Hi,
I don't have a solution for you, but I'm having the same problems.

Athlon XP 1900+
MSI Kt7266 (Via KX266 chipset)
PNY Geforce3 64mb

Not problems with installing (4363) however when I try to run startx the computer freezes up during the load process. Sometimes it stops on loading Window Managaer sometimes loading Peripherals, sometimes loading ipanel. It varies.

Any ideas?

is it trying to load libglx.a by any chance..you didn't specify the extension you just said libglx? if that is the file it is trying to load, then thats your problem...it is supposed to be loading libglx.so

Default works with GF4TI4200

If I change GF3TI200 with GF4TI4200 it works.
