I have an Ubuntu 8.04 machine plugged into a Mitsubishi HC 1600 projector and it can only seem to comprehend how to show 1024x768 resolution. I have a Wii and a Playstation 3 plugged-in to the same projector and it can fully utilize the visual real estate so I know the projector can absolutely do it, I just can't convince the nvidia driver it can. I tried the nvidia-settings application as well as manually setting a modeline I found; none of which seems to work. Any ideas?
