If you mean is it a combat game through and through, yes... yes it is. That was pretty obvious from pre-release materials.
Sorry for the crappy explanation, question and yes thats what I meant the smal arena-style fights.
So the later levels is more open, then I will definatly game on and thanks very much for the fast reply Narci

Just finished the game.

Its pretty good. A solid 7/10 for me.

It would have been higher if the combat was a little smoother. Things they should have done:

Made "lock on" a completely separate button from use\pick up, and made it optional and NEVER happen automatically. I didn't really need it, it just made things significantly harder to control. Especially when fighting a group.

Also, give me a weapon switch\toggle button and don't change my weapons automatically. As if it wasn't hard enough trying to fight 4 people while 2 more shoot at you... your empty gun pops up every time you back away from someone.

I hope they actually fix those before they do a more widespread release because the combat can be pretty tough without the game doing goofy crap to get you killed. It leads to some unnecessary frustration IMO.

All complaints aside though, it was still fun. I didn't notice any significant bugs (other than some enemies standing idle or getting stuck on scenery), the levels were all pretty good, the characters are interesting, the visuals (especially the models of the important characters) were fantastic, the voice acting was surprisingly strong (though odd), and the plot was worth following.

Best of all was the setting though. Every time I went somewhere I wanted to explore further because it seemed like a very "lived-in" and fleshed-out world. Especially the tavern, the forest and the desert. It just seemed like if they'd let me walk past the invisible walls, I would have found some interesting person\beast to talk to or just gawk at. In a way, it reminded me of the settings in Knights of the Old Republic because they were vast and interesting, yet you could only actually get to limited areas so your imagination could sort of fill in the rest. Whether that's intentional or not, I don't know but it works for me.

I really hope these guys make an adventure game or an RPG for their next project. And I hope its set in the Zeno Clash world. They clearly know how to design a good game world and solid gameplay mechanics.

Has anyone tried this with the Controller yet? If so, how does it handle? 360 controller that is.

BTW, according to Steam I played the game for 3.6 hours.

I haven't done any of the challenges, so expect 3.5-4 hours for the main game.

Pretty short, but its fine for a budget game.

Enjoying this game so far too, even if the voice acting is a little iffy at times. Art style more than makes up for it.
