I get really annoying tearing while moving/dragging windows horizontally, there's no tearing if I move them vertically.
This is true for GNOME, XFCE, etc, so it's not desktop specific. It is the same if I enable any compositor with xrender as backend (e.g Metacity, XFCE, etc) Right now I'm using 185.18.04, but I tested with many 180.* and it's the same. I have the driver with vsync enabled and I see no tearing with OpenGL composite managers (compiz/kwin). Any idea what can be the problem? My card is a Quadro FX 570M |

X rendering doesn't sync to vblank.

So the only solution is to use an OpenGL wm/compositor... nice :S
